Wedding at Texas Discovery Gardens: Lavanya + Sam
We met Lavanya and Samantha at Texas Discovery Gardens while we were there attending another event at the venue. They were the sweetest and were still needing to book a photographer and videographer for their quickly approaching wedding. We were excited when they confirmed shortly after the event that they chose us to capture their memories.
What can we say about Samantha and Lavanya? These two are both selfless when it comes to others and we truly admire them and their passion for those around them. Their deep bonds and friendships with those who attended were a testament to their most honorable qualities, Truly. We can’t think of a wedding where the love was so palpable from literally everyone that was attending. These two love, and are loved.
Their hair and makeup was executed flawless by Shavita Shanthakumar of Saavy Lookss. She did such a wonderful job because both of these brides radiated beauty. Lavanya and her bridesmaids had henna done by the talented Mehnaz Ranmal and the details in the artwork is nothing short of astounding! We will definitely be adding these two ladies to our list of tried and true vendors for the Dallas area.
They chose Texas Discovery Gardens as their wedding venue and we are so glad that they did because after the unseasonal rainy fall Texas weather, the grounds looking like a tropical jungle resting in the middle of the Dallas urban-scape. The colors they chose for their wedding party attire were the perfect pairing to the vibrant colors of the foliage that surrounded them. Sadly the temperature drop had us all inside for the ceremony but the views were still spectacular with the large bay windows leading to the garden in nearly every direction. This is one of our favorite Dallas venues and we highly recommend it for any nature lover getting married in Dallas area! They also have a butterfly garden that you don’t want to miss.
This day was a whirlwind and despite a hiccup or two in the beginning everything came together perfectly! Sue Kelson Events made sure to tie up all the loose ends and did a wonderful job of managing any changes that may have come up that Sam and Lav never even knew about! The delicious food was provided by FGF Catering while the incredibly fun donut decor for the donut wall was provided by Jarams Donuts
The energy in the room and on the dance floor was absolutely incredible and this was hands down one of the funnest a crowds we have ever worked with! Their DJ Greg Anderson of Leforce Entertainment was such a valuable addition to this wedding day crew. He brought all the right music and had his up lighting even pulsing to the rhythm of the music! Honestly if you have never thought of adding up lighting to your set up we would HIGHLY recommend it after our experience with Greg! He really made the difference and we are looking forward to working with him again in the future. The dance floor was NON-STOP from the moment it opened up to all the guests in attendance following the first dance and father daughter dances!
Although they were legally married many months before this day the entire event had an atmosphere of celebration for the life and love they have cultivated since the day they met. We easily felt like a part of the family and truly have come to love both Sam and Lav as the beautiful women they are both inside and out! We are so glad we met and we look forward to many more years of friendship with you both.
